Come join us for our second annual bonfire and cemetery walk! Roast a hot dog over the bonfire or get one that has already been cooked for you. Enjoy listening to the life stories of former Corning residents performed by local volunteers.

First Annual Christmas at Corning

Irish Christmas by the hearth

November 23 in Curran House

Join us for our first celebration of the Christmas season at the center. Each room will be decorated by volutneers for the evening. Music will be performed by the Patoka Valley Strummers, a dulcimer group from Dubois County. They will be playing both Christmas and Irish tunes. McCracken's Curve distillery will be here for tasting their products, and purchasing will be available. Admission to the event will be a free-will donation. Curran House and Celtic Hall will be open for self-guided tours.

We are still in need of volunteers to decorate different areas of the center for this event. If you are interested, please call Regina at 812-661-2577 or e-mail her at

Annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner Update for 2025

St. Patrick's Day

Our annual St. Patrick's day event has been moved to April next year in 2025. The specific date will be announced later, so keep an eye on the website for that. The reason for this is because March weather is very unpredictable, and we want everyone to arrive and leave safely. We will also be able to guarantee having a professional Irish musical group to perform! Our event will be called "Better Late than Never St. Patrick's Day."
